Production Meeting Notes - Feb 22

SCHEDULE NOTES:
Band Rehearsal in the Lobby, tuesday Feb 27, evening.
Note that the next lobby display is going up starting Tuesday - shouldn't be an issue, but don't be surprised to find people on ladders when setting up for the rehearsal

There will be an event in the LOBBY on Friday, March 2nd. The event will last from 5pm to about 9pm. This should not affect rehearsal, but actors and crew should stay out of the lobby.

Costumes are scheduled to arrive on MArch 28.

Tech rehearsals start March 1st at 2pm. The band will setup in the pit during dinner, and there will be a sing-through following the dinner break.

Ten out of Twelves will be Friday and Sunday

Carnival on the Mile occurs that weekend; crew should be prepared to park farther out and walk in, or allow for more time looking for parking. Miracle Mile and the side streets will be closed all weekend, and parking will be scarce.

There is a noon promo on March 1st; this is the Coral Gables Rotary Luncheon.

The WIG ROOM will be set up in Dressing Room #1 (first floor).

CREW:
Wardrobe: Jillian, Anni, Heather and Ananda. Anada will be Gary's personal dresser.
Stagecrew: Kris Cardenas, Alex Morguess, Juan Guillen.

SET STUFF
The big cross is fine, but there will be many crosses on the wall, and some of them should be crucifixes. One of the crucifixes should be fairly large, and antique-looking.

Production Meeting Notes - Feb 15

Carl is out today, due to an illness in his family. Good thoughts to Carl and his mother, and hopes for a full and quick recovery.

La Cage rehearsals are going well. (see La Cage blog for various notes)

Chris needs to send Patrick the color package for the show.

Charlotte's Web is going smoothly.

Production Meeting Notes - Feb 08

FACILITY:
The hot water heater on the third floor is out - fixed 02/19/07

Ananda reports a bad smell in the third floor bathrooms. The solution is to pour water down the floor drains to fill the traps and lock out sewer gas.

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES:
We have hired a props person. Colin Morgan, a Nova Southeast Uni student will be handling hand props and some set dressing.

We discussed crew for LCAF. Current plans are to use the same crew as ILYB with the addition of Kris Cardenas and possibly one more person.

Chris Kent will be ASM for the production. Welcome aboard, Chris!

We are still discussing options for handling Sound Design. Dave will speak to Shapi and Nate. We also discussed the possibility of hiring someone to assist Lane during the run of the show; perhaps that is the "+1" on the stage crew. We also might have Lane handle the sound design, and hire an AE to handle the board through tech rehearsals. Further discussion will occur.

The band will consist of piano, bass, drums, 2 trumpets, and 2 reeds. Need to secure band list for contact list AND the Showbill (deadline Feb 26)

We will use two followspots for this production.

We have added the spangle drop from WHITE CHRISTMAS as an In One curtain for the First Portal.

Dave wants to use Dry Ice for the "ANNA ON MY ARM" number. We will have to coordinate picking it up for rehearsals and for the run.

Production Meeting Notes, Feb 1

Attending: Chris, Christy, Carl, Lane, Earl, Ananda, and Patrick.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE
Photo call tonight. Alberto is confirmed. Christy is ordering pizza.

Joshua Saltzman and Ryan Cunningham will be to see the show this weekend, and they will hold an audience talkback after the saturday evening performance. Dave Arisco will moderate.

FACILITY NOTES
Gary is coming into town early, so we need to have the apartment ready by Thursday the 8th. Chris J will pick up the van tomorrow and load out all the stuff left behind by strike crew, and will finish up on Monday. We also need to get the dead fridge out.
That brings up the issue of the Fridge. Past shows, we have pulled the unit from the green room to pu into the apartment, but not only are we using the fridge for the current show, we will need a full size unit for LCAF. We need another refrigerator. Chris J will discuss with Dave to broach the subject with BS.

We need to arrange for a carpet cleaning backstage before the La Cage cast moves in. We also need to remove the carpet outside the wardrobe area.

The hot water heater in the costume shop has stopped working. Chris J has called Kurtz Plumbing. They will be out at some point this week to inspect it, but can't say when.

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES
SETS
Gene says he's looking for drawings for ZaZa's makeup table scene. Mike's last email reads:
"we roll on a dressing table with a see through mirror and rolling racks of clothes and do it DS of the backstage set." Need to schedule a phone conference with Gene, Dave and Mike.

We still need color elevations.

We need larger images of the village and the malachite to send to the printer.

CJ will create the section and distribute copies. Gene is having problems with the plotter at the shop. The plotter is fine, but Windows XP doesn't have drivers for it, and the computer that's running Win98SE is dying. We either need to invest in a newer plotter, or WinLine(univeral software driver that will work on XP).

CJ will also contact Rob Dew about possible sources for plotters and CAD solutions.

CREW
Gene needs help finding 6 carpenter/riggers for ILYB strike and pre-rigging work for LCAF. He is going to send his current list to Chris to prevent needless duplications.

Chris J needs to confirm ASM and wigs with Dave.

AUDIO
Lane will prepare a list of mic needs and have it in to Chris next Wednesday, so we can work out getting spare/replacement heads ordered. DAve and Lane need to decide which mic heads will be used for this show (lav or countryman)
