Production Meeting Notes - Jan 25
Earl was in rehearsals for CHARLOTTE'S WEB
I Love You Because
There were sound issues during the Wednesday evening show - EL's mic dropped out several times during the first part of Act I. This was caused by signal interference of unknown origin. The same mic worked fine during the afternoon matinee. The mic's frequencey was changed the first time he left the stage, and the mic pac was switched out at intermission. This completely solved the problem for Act II. (Carl reports Thursday's show was interference free).
As noted previously, someone took one of the chinese dinners out of the freezer and left it in the microwave. It has been replaced, and we are considering putting a lock on the freezer door.
Photo call has been set for next Thursday, February 1st.
La Cage Aux Folles (section copied to LC blog)
Casting is not yet complete. He's got a list of 12 he wants, but they need to be confirmed.
STAFFING
Chrissi Ardito is choreographing, and Eric Alsford will be the Musical Director.
David is considering options for ASM.
David will discuss the Sound Design with Nate, to see if he's available. He will also see if Steve Shapiro is available, or if Nate and Steve can co-design. Our fall-back is to have Lane design the show - Dave is trying to hold off giving him a "baptism by fire," but we're confident in Lane.
DRESSERS - we'll probably need three - one specifically for Gary Marachek.
COSTUMES
We are going ahead with the Costume World package. David is trying to set up a meeting for Wednesday, January 31. It's tentatively set at 11am, but this depends on the schedule of Marilyn Wicks of Costumen World. She is out of town, and her staff isn't sure if she will return in time. More info to come. Costume photos can be found HERE.
We're not certain if the package includes wigs; it probably does not. In any case we will need a wig person. David has suggested that this is probably a person who comes in simply to prepare the wigs prior to the show and not necessarily someone who is there for the show.
NOTE: we will probably need to acquire equipment for wig care: dryers and so forth.
We will need to acquire or build the undergarments for ZaZa and the Cage-elles; they are not included in the costume package.
Numerous set design questions for Mike:
- We need color elevations for all elements
- David wants specifics on changing into ZaZa's dressing room from the apartment
- We need a tracking sheet of the scene change
- We need a list of furniture and set dressing
SCHEDULE NOTES:
The calendar needs to reflect 3 weeks of rehearsal. David confirms that there will be a 10am matinee on the day of the first preview.

Regarding the Green Room Fridge
It seems this person put the food in the MICROWAVE to heat it up. At some point, they must have realized that the food wasn't edible.
So they left the plate in the microwave so it could rot into a complete mess. Thanks. May the fleas of a thousand camels inhabit your nether parts.
If you didn't put it in the fridge, you have no right to take it OUT of the fridge. PERIOD.
The reviews are good!

ILYB update
Dave wants Marcy's bed to have and "open" headboard; perhaps a brass one. Bed dressing should be in the same line as the costume; very "bohemian" and colorful.
Jeff and Austin's apartment:
Sofa - 2 seater. We're going to try the ILYYPNC piece. I may find a throw for it, or Dave may have me find a more "colorful" piece. Dave would also like a "desk and chair". They shouldn't look like the office, and it can be a simple chair as opposed to a formal desk chair. The desk can be "some sort of table" that is being used as a desk - should be a small footprint.

SET NOTES:
- desk wants to be small, modern office w/ drawers
- poss use desk 'return'

- this isn't necessarily a futon. Concept is young bachelor, mattress on floor.
BAR

- not too much stuff on top
- stools attached to floor, backless
COFFEE SHOP
- cups should include demi-tasse and large 'bowl' cups
2007/01/03
ILYB more coffee cups
Charlotte's Web tent
ILYB bar/coffee shop bar

IN addition to the espresso machine, there should be either some Bunn coffee pots (which we have) or those thermal urns you find in Starbucks or Einstein's Bagels.

I am also looking for some tap heads to go on it.
The bar rail will support a leg, but not the full weight of someone climbing over the bar.
ILYB- coffee cups
Here are pix for review and comment

This style only available in this reddis-orance color.
But it's vibrant and exciting.

This comes in several colors, which I meant to photograph and forgot.
Yellow, Lime green, and a pale yellow.
